From time to time it is necessary to change parts of the route of the trail due to footpath diversions and footbridge closures. Amendments currently in force, listed by trail section, are as follows:
1 Ledbury to Marcle Ridge
- Ledbury LR10 footpath diverted out of industrial area. See map.
3 Ross-on-Wye to Little Dewchurch
- Ross/Bristow Following the installation of a Toucan Crossing on the A40 Dual Carriageway this is a safer route to use. See map
7 Peterchurch to Whitney Bridge
- Clifford CL70 major alteration, footpath combined with Wye Valley Walk. See map
9 Kington to Lingen
- Kington KR22 Mill Farm to avoid waterlogged ground, joins Mortimer Trail for short distance. See map
- Byton BKM13 Minor change to move footpath from artificial pond. See map
11 Leintwardine to Richard's Castle
- Leintwardine LX57 Restricted Byway added to Definitive Map. See map
12 Richard's Castle to Leominster
- Eye (North of Leominster) EX13 Easier line to follow to Eye Church. See map
13 Leominster to Edwyn Ralph
- Edwyn Ralph ER27 Minor alteration due to housing estate. See map
